I’m sitting here watching my ceramic cup of coffee steam and billow before me and the sunlight of New England stream out onto wooden floors that are older than my great-great grandfather, the floors of a family run bakery, which is just down the street from where my brother works.
I wonder what these floors would tell me if they could speak….
When I was thinking about which poem I wanted to share this week, this little one on adventure only seemed fitting.
I am at peace. I’ve been thinking a lot about life and writing and passion and purpose. I am so grateful to be here. I am so grateful for my life and the experiences I’ve had and the lessons I’ve learned. I’m so grateful for my brother and his wife and what a deep friendship I have with them. I am grateful for traveling and adventure.
I hope you’re having a beautiful day, wherever you are. I hope you have a chance to think deeply and be moved with wonder and excitement. Right now, the streets of Hanover, New Hampshire are calling so I’m going to finish my coffee and scurry.
Chase an adventure today, friends.
