Hello friends.
It’s good to be back.

As October arrives with her crisp air, golden sunlight and blushing flora and fauna, I feel my heart ready to return to this space.
My Summer hiatus is over.

It’s been a blessing to be absent and to fully immerse myself in my new marriage. Yet in my absence I’ve felt a longing that’s only grown stronger as the weeks have passed by.
Maybe you’ve felt such a longing before too.
Like a weight on your chest, pressing deeper and deeper, threatening to crush you unless you do something about it.
I don’t know what that weight is for you.
But my weight is my words, and my longing to write.

I am awed by the ability of stories, true or fiction, to cause people to hope, to believe and to connect.
I am struck by the power of the written word, so easily accessible, and so far reaching, across countries and over centuries in the form of a book or with the click of a mouse.

I love reading and I love writing.

Hence, the new name of this blog:

But there’s another reason I chose this name.

Though the face and the name of this blog are changing, my purpose for it stays the same:
to continue inspiring others to keep dreaming, keep hoping, and most of all, to keep looking to Jesus, the author of salvation, the creator of story and speech, and the one whom the bible calls-

the WORD made flesh.

It is for that Word that I am most enthusiastic. And it is for that Word that all my other rambilings and writings are for.

The definition of enthusiast is: “One who is filled with enthusiasm; one who is ardently absorbed in an interest or pursuit. A zealot, a fanatic.”

I am filled with zeal about books and writing, and I am ardently absorbed in Jesus and his mission. You could say I’m a “word” enthusiast. 😉

But what about you? Where does your passion lie?
What are you zealous for?

Whether it’s a project you’re just beginning, or a dream you’ve set aside, I pray you have the courage to keep on in it’s pursuit.

Thank you for your patience and for all the kind inquiries sent my way while I was gone! Stay tuned for a new poem next week and be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss a post!

Keep dreaming, friends.
